The FUMC Chancel Choir is a dedicated group of about 20 singers aged 14 through adult. This ensemble prepares and performs a wide variety of musical styles from Handel, Spirituals, Southern Gospel and contemporary composers including Dan Forrest and Mary McDonald. We have weekly rehearsals from 6:45-8:00 pm to prepare for our Sunday morning worship service at 10:00 am. The Choir also prepares special music with instruments during the Christmas and Easter seasons. The choir takes time off during the month of July and this is the time our soloists share their gifts and talents during worship, and we kick off the return to choir with a welcome back party hosted by our Choir Mom. We have a dedicated handbell group of about 7 ringers. We meet once a week and prepare music using both handbells and hand chimes.
